Tanis is an exceptional composer and musician, completely immersed in the world of sounds and music since her early childhood, and with a keen ‘out-of-the-box’ sense of musical illustration.  Daughter of traveling parents, she lived in different places around the world.

Her multi-cultural upbringing has greatly influenced and inspired her music. At fourteen, she composed the main themes of a Disney Asia film “Trail of the Panda” (2009), where she featured a traditional wooden Chinese flute (Dizi), at the heart of her melodies, while using strings as the major accompanying element. Her agility and adaptability allow her to write a wide array of musical genres. Tanis’ music is bold and not afraid to take alternative in ventive routes when necessary. She is undeniably gifted with an essential ability to make her music visual and to bring this perfect final touch in films and images, underlying stories and feelings in a perfect way.

After graduating from New York University’s Steinhardt College with a Bachelor’s in Music composition and Film scoring, where she was recognized for her outstanding academic achievement winning three awards including the Richard Hirsch Memorial award for outstanding academic achievement, the Founder’s Day award and most importantly the distinguished Elmer Bernstein award for Film scoring, Tanis founded her own music production company, TXC Entertainment Inc., in early 2017.

Notably, amongst other pieces, she recently composed music for “Thoroughbred” (2017), an upcoming feature film from Focus Features, as well as an original jingle for TOMY© toys.

Tanis’ talent combined with her work ethic, dedication and commitment to her craft make her one of these few ultimate professionals that appears on course to mark her generation.
